Golden Gate Park Nature Camp introduces young naturalists to the park's 1,017 acres of diverse habitats, from coastal dunes to redwood groves. Weekly sessions focus on a different ecosystem: coastal exploration, forest ecology, pond life, and urban wildlife adaptation. Campers participate in guided nature walks, collect specimens for observation, and learn species identification. Expert naturalists lead daily activities that develop observational skills and ecological understanding. Perfect for ages 6-12 seeking outdoor adventure in the heart of San Francisco.
